Marvelous Mocha Mix
1 c. Nestle Quick
1 c. powdered creamer
2/3 c. instant coffee granules
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Store in an airtight container.
Makes 3 cups (24 to 36 servings). Give as a gift in a decorative
jar with serving instructions attached.
To make 1 serving: Add 4 to 6 tsp. mix to 3/4 c. boiling water;
stir until dissolved.
Amaretto Cocoa Mix
10-1/2 c. nonfat dry milk
4 c. confectioner's sugar
2 (8 oz) jars Amaretto flavored nondairy powdered creamer
3-1/2 c. Nestle's Quick
2-3/4 c. nondairy powdered creamer
1/2 tsp. salt
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Then pour into pint size
canning jars. This recipe will yield approximately 8 pint size gift
jars.
For the Tag:
Amaretto Cocoa Mix
Combine 3 heaping tablespoons of Amaretto Cocoa Mix into a mug
of hot water or milk; stir.
Russia Tea Mix
2 c. Tang instant orange drink
1 c. unsweetened Nestea
1/3 c. sweet lemonade drink mix
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Makes 2 (12 oz) jars;
3 cups (48 servings). Attach instructions. Makes a fun hostess gift!
For one serving: Pour 1 c. boiling water into a mug; stir in 1 T.
tea mix until dissolved.
Chocolate Spoons
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
2 tsp. shortening
35 to 45 plastic spoons
Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Place chocolate chips in a
microwave-safe bowl; heat on medium power for 2 minutes, stirring
every 30 seconds. To thin chocolate, add shortening, stirring gently.
Dip each plastic spoon in chocolate mixture to cover the bowl of the
spoon; place on parchment paper to set. Can sprinkle the spoons with
colored sprinkles, jimmies or crushed candy canes. Cool thoroughly
before wrapping in plastic wrap.
Mustard Dip
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. prepared mustard or ground mustard
3 T. prepared horseradish
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
In a bowl, combine all ingredients until smooth (mustard will
thicken as it stands). Store in refrigerator. Makes 1-1/2 cups.
To make a hot & spicy dip for pretzels and eggrolls, use ground
mustard. To make a milder, sweeter sauce that's good for ham,
turkey and also pretzels, use prepared mustard.
Give as a gift with bags of pretzels ... or even a ham!
Peppermint Stick Sauce
1-1/2 c. finely crushed pappermint candies or candy canes
3/4 c. whipping cream, whipped
1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme
Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low
heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is smooth and candy is
melted. Pour into small airtight containers. Store in refrigerator.
Serve warm over ice cfream or cake.
Makes 3 cups. A wonderful, well-received gift!
Dreamsicle Cookies in a Jar
Layer in given order:
1/2 c. Tang instant breakfast drink powder
3/4 c. white sugar
1-1/2 c. vanilla chips or white morsels
1-3/4 c. flour mixed with 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Attach recipe below, to jar:
Dreamsicle Cookie Mix
Empty cookie mix in a large mixing bowl; stir to combine.
Add 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 egg slightly beaten and
1 tsp. vanilla. Mix until completely blended. Roll into
large walnut size balls, place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375* for 12-14 min. Makes 2 -1/2 dozen.
