LOS ANGELES - - Variety reports that Johnny Depp's production company Infinitum-Nihil and Graham King's GK Films are developing a new Dark Shadows feature film, in association with Warner Bros. Dan Curtis' former colleague David Kennedy will co-produce.

Depp is most famous for the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, along with Gothic fare such as Edward Scissorhands, one of several collaborations with director Tim Burton. In previous interviews, Depp has confessed his love for Dark Shadows and the character of Barnabas Colllins. No other actors have been named for other roles in the film.
